The first of it’s kind, a solar-powered electric curtain system from BTX won an award for “Best Technical Innovation” at the 2010 Window Covering Manufacturer’s Association.
The Tumo Xcel Eco-line is a totally self-reliant, sun-powered DC automated curtain system. It’s affordable, quiet, and plug-and-play right out of the box. Installation really is very easy, with no electrician required. Just plug the motor into the very low profile “Solar Accumulator” and it’s ready to go. Control up to six of these, or six groups of systems using radio controlled hand held remote control. The beauty of the solar panel is it’s hidden behind the drape and is ready for maximum solar collection in your sunniest windows. For those seeking to integrate this with an existing home automation setup, it can be easily added using a dry-contact enclosure.
The system incorporates the same popular headrail design as the standard Tumo Xcel and is very quiet. This DC-driven light-rail drapery system can also be custom curved to specification.
